In Norway, there lies a century long art project called the Future Library Project. While the 1,000 tree forest will spent 100 years growing, 100 different authors will have submitted 100 different manuscripts to the Oslo Public Library. At the end of it all, these 100-work anthologies will be printed on the paper made from these 1,000 trees.
At Sankt-Burchardi-Church in Halberstadt, Germany there sits an organ playing a 639 year long performance of Organ²/ASLSP (As Slow as Possible) by John Cage. All changes occur on the fifth day of the month, in honor of Cage’s birthday, Sept. 5.
